USC is not the NCAA football betting favorite in the Pac-10 for the first time in the last eight years.

That honor goes toward Oregon for the 2010 season. The Ducks are a slight favorite to win the Pac-10 while USC is picked for second by those that bet on NCAA football.



NCAA football betting on the Pac-10 will be pretty competitive this season and it could be that the champ finishes with 2 conference losses. Because the poll has picked the ultimate champ in nine of the last 10 seasons, and the Pac-10 media poll picked Oregon over USC, that should be great news for the Ducks. Because USC has owned this conference for more than a decade, that stat is actually overrated however. That dominance appears to be over now though and Oregon is the squad that could take edge.

The Pac-10 appears to be pretty opened up at the internet sportsbook in 2010 as seven squads in the media poll obtained at least one first place vote. Oregon acquired fifteen first place votes and they were trailed by USC with a dozen. Oregon got 314 total points, just three ahead of USC who got 311. Oregon State was picked for third and got three first place votes. Stanford and Arizona rounded out the top five. Washington was selected for sixth and they were trailed by California, UCLA, Arizona State and also Washington State. Solely the Sun Devils and the Cougars were provided no possibility to win the Pac-10 this season.

For those that bet on NCAA football, Oregon State could be the wild card in the conference. They are picked for third even though they are replacing their starting quarterback. Head coach Mike Riley believes that the offense is going to be pretty great with Ryan Katz guiding them.

It’s unclear if they will be credited with the Pac-10 title if they finish at the top of the standings since the Trojans won’t be in a bowl game this season.
