South Korea against Uruguay World Cup 2010 Gambling
As Uruguay took on South Korea, the first opportunity to make a 2010 World Cup bet in online sports betting in the round of 16 took place on Saturday.
Uruguay was the top team from Group A while South Korea concluded 2nd in Group B. Uruguay were liked in World Cup sports betting against South Korea after they had been pretty extraordinary with 2 wins and a tie. Uruguay is unbeaten against South Korea in their four previous matches and they seemed as though the much more robust side in this Saturday competition.
South Korea was only able to get through to the knockout round as they played Nigeria to a 2-2 tie. South Korea concluded with only four points but that was enough to get through Group B that was received by Argentina. South Korea looked good in their first game against Greece but then was owned by Argentina. They got the point to advance after they did what they had to do though against Nigeria. South Korea includes Park Ji Sung and Lee Jung Soo and not much else. It figured to be pretty challenging for South Korea to score against a Uruguay team that had yet to allow a goal in the World Cup.
Uruguay rolled over South Africa in their 2nd game after they played to a tie with France in their first game. They controlled Mexico in their 3rd game to win Group B. Uruguay has the ability to score goals with Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez and they play excellent defense. They should have been able to take advantage of a South Korea defense that has allowed 6 goals in three games.
South Korea has permitted the first goal in their last 2 matches to Argentina and Nigeria. They came back to get the tie against Nigeria but one time they allowed the first goal to Uruguay, they probably had no opportunity to win. South Korea has scored five goals but 2 of those were scored as a result of blunders by other teams. On defense, Uruguay hardly ever makes any blunders. The other three goals for South Korea were scored on set pieces and Uruguay is excellent at defending those. Uruguay moved on to the quarterfinals with a victory over South Korea because they’ve got the greater offense and the greater defense.
The final score of 2-1 in favor of Uruguay was little surprise to any person. With South Korea removed from the World Cup, that leaves Japan as the only Asian team left with a chance to get anywhere. And their approaching game against Paraguay isn’t genuinely looking too good for the Japanese team.
South Korea’s coach, Huh Jung-moo, claimed through an interpreter that football in South Korea is a work in progress. He said that the condition of his country’s football program is certainly in greater condition now than it was in 2002, when it arrived at the World Cup semifinals as a co-host country.
Oscar Tabarez, Uruguay’s coach, claimed that South Korea has grown pretty a little as a team. When he said that though they had to lose the match, they leave the World Cup with their heads held high, he seemed impressed with the South Korean team.
